Data Destinations – SageData Data Store Overview

A Data Warehouse (DW or DWH), aka Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), is a system used for reporting and data analysis, and is considered a core component of business intelligence. SageData platform provides you with your our own dedicated Data Warehouse (we also call it Data Store or DS) to store and model your data for analysis.

SageData Data Store can scale up based on your data needs. We are very comfortable to work with Gigabytes and Terabytes alike.

If you would like to bring your own Data Warehouse and connect SageData to it, our technology works very well with:

  • Amazon Redshift
  • Snowflake
  • Postgres
  • Basically, any DB

Launching your Data Store

To launch your SageData Data Store, simply provide us the username and the password for the main/first user of the Data Store.

Connecting to your Data Store

When your Data Store is provided by Sage Data, you can connect to it, just like your would to any other JDBC/ODBC compatible Database. Go under Destinations in the left menu and you will be able to see all destinations (Data Warehouses, Data Stores, Databases) that are available. SageData Data Store will also be there

The username and the password for your connection are the same as you had provided during the launch of the Data Warehouse. You can use any client of your choice to connect to your Data Warehouse. We can recommend the following:

You may need to request to whitelist your IP address (the are visible in the Destinations section) in order to connect to the Data Store. If you are unable to connect, please contacts us through the contact section in your portal.
